I have been in a dry spell lately. I have not created anything for my store recently and decided that my studio was the problem. I am working on rearranging my studio and getting rid of things that I have accumulated over the years, not easy! It actually has been therapeutic. I have not created anything yet but my creativity is coming back slowly, I have some ideas that I am putting on paper (will post some on a future post). How do you get out of your dry spell?
I have posted below some pictures of my messy studio. Pictures of my improved studio's to come in the next post!
I feel you on this! You don't know how many similar posts I've read and written on this topic. lol I'm in the process of doing the same. First, I gutted the room, trashed things that had no business in there, and basically started over. Limited funds = no real budget for furniture, repainting, etc. so I'm working with what I have to have a space that truly works for me.
ReplyDeleteMy aunt is a painter/potter in Durham, and I love her home studio space. She hangs all of her work on the wall as if in a gallery and then sections off one part for painting. This is a garage turned studio.

and my post on her work here: http://artisticexpressionsbyelisabeth.blogspot.com/2010/07/enthusiasm-pottery.html
