Designers Uptown Market: September 28, 2013

I have attached below some pictures from yesterday's Designers Uptown Market where my friend Jillian and I shared a booth.  It was a lot of fun!  I have changed some of my displays; added a pegboard to hang my prints and also framed some to let potential buyers see how the prints will look on their walls.  I did received more interest and sales.  And the weather was amazing!

You can find our shops in the following sites:
Nooni Jewelr

My side display on pegboards.  I sold one of my monotype print (lower right) Yeah!

Back side of the pegboard; I displayed on both sides of the pegboard, which was great.  I am planning to paint the back of the pegboard white as well.

My new table display.  For my next show, I will work on another display for my cards and have all my prints on the pegboard.
I welcome comments and feedback.  It has been great meeting other sellers and learn from them; I hope you can take some ideas for your own displays.  And I would love to see your own display pictures; you can post them on my Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/Pascalesstudio.  Looking forward to your feedback.

À bientôt!

Portrait Workshop at the Pullen Art Center with Liz Hume

This past weekend, I enrolled in a portrait workshop at the Pullen Art Center.  Liz Hume was the instructor; you can see her work in this website.   It was a two days workshop and we drew portraits from the masters. I chose Juan de Pareja by Velazquez.  It was a fun project and below are some pictures.  I still have a few hours of work on this portrait; I will post the finish portrait soon.

Juan de Pareja by Velazquez

My attempt; this is after the first three hours.  Used HB and 2B pencils on light tinted drawing paper.

This is after the second day; six hours of drawing.   I may work on it for another six hours or more.  I love the hair! :-)

Let me know what you think; I welcome some feedback.
